Biography
Henry Twinch is a composer/musician/filmmaker.
As a musician he has played keyboards, guitar and bass with a wide variety of artists. In his early career he was keyboard player in the band Violent Luck (aka London SS), the Rose Mountain Band, pianist, bassist and guitarist with Chris Jagger, session pianist at Dave Vorhaus’ Kaleidophon Studio, and lead guitarist with the girl group The Innocents.
He moved on to work as a solo pianist while continuing to perform as a multi instrumentalist with some legendary performers.
Henry was composing music for singer Joie Favier on Trevor Horn’s ZTT label, when he met Tyla of the Dogs D’Amour. He joined the band as keyboard player shortly after. Although the band split up, his collaboration as a recording artist continued with Tyla until 2005. He has also recorded with the Levellers, Spike, Tom Robinson, and many others.
After the break up of the Dogs D’Amour, Henry met Jonathon Saul Kane and became a contributor to Depth Charge recordings.
Henry’s released solo piano recordings date from 1997 to 2008. He is currently working on new piano compositions and has been working as a producer/musician with Moonjaguars, also composing chamber music for Catalan orchestra Tactum.
He has also made 6 short films, including the award winning
documentary “Ono Niha”.
